Sad Reality used live drumming to create the atmosphere of each struggle. In workshops run by Mustafa Khogali, RAPAR Drama explored how to tell stories through sound. The drumming made a powerful soundscape over which the company performed scenes which showed the reality of life in the UK's Hostile Environment. They explored many different issues they felt needed to be highlighted; signing, destitution, dodgy solicitors and the endless waiting.
